Abstract

This study aims to determine the employees' perception ofcareer development program in hotel industry. This study also examine the to know factors influence ofemployees perception toward career development program. They two variables in this study, namely the dependent variable (factors influence career development such as promotion, motivation, self-esteem and job enrichment) and the independent variable demography such as gender, age, education and year ofservice. 50 respondents were selected by using the simple random sampling to know about employee's perception toward career development program in hotel industry. The data using a standard questionnaire to respondent were selected by using the simple random sampling. The data tested using the statistical analysis such as t-test and onewayANOVA. The finding showed that with t-test, the selected gender have no significant with factors influence career development (t= 0.994 and p= 0.325), with the one-way ANOVA analysis, finding showed all factors (age, education and experience) are no significant with employee's perception toward career development. The entire finding were age (F= 2.079, p> 0.05), education (F; 1.141, p> 0.05) and year of service (F; 0.151, p> 0.05). It is suggested that future researchers do more research depth in career development by using suitable factor with career development base an organization.
