Abstract

The Final Year Lab FoCus-IT is facing difficulties in providing better quality service for the students. Currently, there are not enough workstations to accommodate the amount of students within a specified time. Therefore, a simulation of the final year lab FoCus-IT queuing system is made to tackle these difficulties. The simulation model will be used to identify the appropriate number of workstations to be installed. The outcome of this project will be the statistical sets of data representing the simulation system results. The simulation model will be programmed with the aid of Simlib simulation language. The input parameters and the results of simulation run will be tested for its verification and validation. This project is highly hoped to improve the workstations’ availability and effectiveness.
