Abstract

In Sarawak, the Land and Survey Department is an organization for managing and administering land. Land, planning, valuation, surveying, and the enforcement of the Sarawak Land Code's land rules are all subject to its jurisdiction. In Land and Survey Department, there are many authorities can be applied under different sections. Basically, the authority for under Section 3(1), Section 193 and Section 215 has been done manually. These sections are needed to process all the instruments. Instruments are printed or written document which is related to transfer of ownership or other business that is related to land or proof of land ownership. A web-based preparation, attestation and registration system (e-PARS) has been proposed to overcome these problems. In this paper will brief the introduction about the background of Land and Survey Department and the web-based system. The features that will be implemented in the systems are update, add applications and report generating. Rapid Application Development methodology is chosen to develop the proposed system as it emphasizes quick prototyping over extensive preparation
