Abstract

This paper examines factors that affect the intention to adopt cashless payment methods among UNIMAS students. 390 target respondents were selected among UNIMAS students. Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) 26 was used to analyse the data in this study. The results obtained from data analysis were interpreted using frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression. The result shows that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust significantly positively influence the intention to use cashless payment methods. Perceived risk significantly negatively influences the intention to use cashless payment methods. All hypotheses in this research study are accepted. The findings in this study will help cashless payment service providers better understand the influences on the intention to use cashless payment methods among university students.
