Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing Gen Z’s investment decision in Cryptocurrency in Malaysia. The behavior factors used in this study include overconfidence, herding behavior, and risk tolerance. This study also collected quantitative date from a total of 100 respondents who are known as Generation Z or Gen Z who are currently investing in Cryptocurrency in Malaysia in a survey via Google form. The study used the EViews software application to analyze data. This method is often used to analyze data to see if there are any relationships between different factors. This study aims to provide an overview of which factor will impactthe investment decision of young investors in the cryptocurrency market in Malaysia. The finding of the study found that all three independent variables, overconfidence, risk tolerance, and herding behavior has no effect on the Gen Z's investment choices in the cryptocurrency. Thus, further research and analysis incorporating additional variables are necessary to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors driving Gen Z's investment choices in the cryptocurrency market.
