Abstract

The collaboration system is getting popular in nowadays as people need to be connected wilh each other all the time regardless the geographical location to collaborate in the project management. With the gaining of interest in managing the project especially in the academic domain, the web based collaboration system is the solution to help the team members in the project to achieve the COmmon goal. In the absence of the plalform for project collaboration, all the information from the project discussion such as task allocation is difficult be documented and tracked when required. For example in UN1MAS, there are large number of student claims that there are lack of platform to manage the project works among their teammates as m,os! of them are having the problem to attend the meeting for the project discussion. There/ore, the web based collaboration system is deSigned to provide the pial/arm/or the project management sllch as lask allocalion and statliS tracking oftask and pl'Ojecl. The collaboratioll system helps the IIser to manage their project in an e(feclive Mty by allowing the accessibility 0/2417 ;nlo the .Iystem anywhere as long as they are conllected 10 the internet connection. The web based collaboralion system offers the different level of the permisSion in order 10 per/arm the jimctions a/the system based on the role a/the IIser sllch as administrator, project leader and project member. Besides, the process of reminding the user regarding to the deadline of the project and task is automoted in the system. Email notification will be sent autol11atically to the IIs once lire due date of the task is arrived.
