Abstract

These days, attendance of the activity in the college is taken through the student signature or given stamp to confirm the presence. Using these methods is both cumbersome and time-consuming. Therefore a method of taking attendance through student matric card has been presented in this paper which is paperless, quick, and accurate. A web system is implement, attendance of the activity is taken, and attendance is store in the web system. In additional, having an online system accessible anywhere and anytime can greatly help officer and student to keep track their merit point. Deploying this system throughout the college will benefit officer in managing student merit point. Besides, this system provides valuable online facilities for easy record and maintenance offered not only to officer but also related to student as their own record. Moreover, the attendance record can also be generated for printing.
