Abstract

Dasia is a genus of lizards in the Scincidae family, whose members are arboreal, inhabiting trees in South and Southeast Asia. They are secretive due to their exclusively arboreal habits, and little is known about their natural history. The research project was to observe the activity pattern and habitat use by two species of arboreal skink in UNIMAS campus. Activity patterns of two arboreal skinks differ statistically in terms of resource partitioning in space and time dimensions. No significant difference in micro-habitat use by Dasia vittata and Dasia olivacea.
