Abstract

Culture within an organization is important to be studied as it may have significant impact on the working performance and working satisfaction among the company's employees as the culture will influence sociality and personality of a person (Cotgrove & Duff, 1981). The overall job performance of Malaysia still needs a big improvement as our country's workers work more however the outcome is low. Most of the employees still stated that they are suffered from stress which in turn decreases their job satisfaction (Fong, 2017). Hence, the study is conducted to examine the effect of organization culture (based on Hofstede's Value Dimensions) on employees' job performance and job satisfaction. Hofstede's Value Dimensions is chosen as it is significant and a new dimension which is Indulgence versus Restraint is just newly developed by Hofstede in 2010 (Hofstede, 2010). The results gained from the research are hopes to identify the factors that can enhance the employees' job performance and job satisfaction of our country. The general objectives of the study is to examine the relationship between the organization culture based on Hofstede's Value Dimensions with employees' job performance and job satisfaction. Questionnaire will be distributed to at the respondents who are the private sector's employees that work in Klang Valley. The questionnaire will be based on the Value Survey Model (VSM) 2013, Individual Working Performance Questionnaire and Job Satisfaction Survey Scale. 5 points likert scale is used to measure each of the items. The data will be collected and analyzed by using Statistical Procedure for Social Science (SPSS) and Pearson Coefficient Correlation to get the necessary result.
