Abstract

This research was conducted to study the factors that influence the brain drain activities among the young talents in public universities in Kuching, Sarawak. The main objectives of the research are to identify the main factor that influence the young talents to brain drain, determine the push factors and pull factors that affect the decision of the young talents to work abroad. There are total 300 questionnaire had been distributed and collected from the final year students of both Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and Universiti Teknologi Mara Cawangan Sarawak. In this research, the IBM SPSS Statistics (Ver. 25) for data analysis such as descriptive analysis, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. The result shown the both push and pull factors plays the crucial roles in influencing the brain drain activities among the young talents. Moreover, the career prospect is the dominant factor that causes the diaspora of the people to brain drain.
