Abstract

Nowadays, WSNs has become a trending and it is widely used by many fields JS it is easy to deal with including applications in military, industrial, medical, marine and other fields. Localization is one of the major technologies as it does bring essential role in many location information applications such as target tracking application. In most localization method, the main idea that is being highlight is to know how to calculate the coordinate in order to know the exact location of the sensors. Therefore, in this project, the simulation is used instead of running a real experiment in Wireless Sensor Networh (WSN). In this paper, two localization algorithms which are High-resolution Robust Localization (HiRLoc) and Securerange Independent Localization (SeRLoc) is discussed and reviewed. The main focus is on localization error - distance between the actual position and estimated position of a sensor node. There are several parameters that can be setup and the results are compared. Thus, the average localization error will be shown as a result.
