Abstract

In this digitalization era, many people are trying to practice a healthy lifestyle. However, exercise and balanced diet are essential to stay healthy, as well as. The practice to maintain a healthy lifestyle requires one to manage his or her diet as well as performing some exercise. There are many health and fitness mobile application which can help people to monitor their health, in terms of calorie intake and exercise. Despite so, most of these mobile applications are standalone whereby it does not comprise of the integration of these features. Besides, most of these applications are not built in the feature that recommend exercises based on the user details and calorie intake in order to consume the calories effectively. Therefore, it is proposed to develop a mobile application which meet the demand of integrating the three main aspects; calorie intake, exercise recommendation and weight tracker into an application called Cal-Ex. Development of Cal-Ex will adopt the Agile methodology whereby it emphasizes on the quick release in form of prototyping and iterating through development cycle to constantly improve on the application until it is ready to used. The significant of Cal-Ex is intended for its users to proactively use it to manage their health in terms of calorie intake and exercise in order to leading them towards a healthier lifestyle. The future works of Cal-Ex will look into improve the application entirely as well as integrating additional enhancements of default features.
