Abstract

Nowadays, the world is currently evolving into a new era, digital era. Hence, it opens an idea on transforming the traditional method that is still carried out by the medical staffs at Pusat Rawatan TB 1 in Klinik Kesihatan Kota Samarahan in managing the patient attendance that undergoing DOTS (directly observed therapy short course) strategy in a new evolutionary approach, with the help of web-based system. The main purpose of this system is to ease the workflow the medical staff at Pusat Rawatan TB 1 in Klinik Kesihatan Kota Samarahan in conducting their daily work in managing the patient attendance that undergoing the DOTS strategy. This main objective of this proposed system is to develop a DOTS attendance management system for Pusat Rawatan TB 1 in Klinik Kesihatan, Kota Samarahan with a database that can store DOTS patients’ information, patients’ attendances for DOTS, doctor appointment and notification to indicate the absence of patient for DOTS. The main significance of this proposed system is to decrease the workload carried by the medical staffs at Pusat Rawatan TB 1 in Klinik Kesihatan Kota Samarahan, shorten the time consumption in generating the patient’s DOTS report, and reduce the error that can be made by the medical staff in analyzing the report with the help of a system to generate the report. Last but not least, this proposed system expects to be reliable and secure that can be deployed by the users.
