Abstract

This project aims to develop mobile application as an interesting and interactive way of learning prism topic using AR card game. Our application enables 3D view of prism, a whole new experience of using AR game or application, which is different than normal application or game. This functionality makes AR beneficial for the education field as a lot of subjects requires a 3D view to provide a better understanding towards certain topics. As an example, in mathematics subject, which focuses on prism topic where the students need to learn 3D prism. However, students only able to view the prism through 2D visual from textbook. Due to that, the prismAR project is proposed to help ease the teaching and learning process of prism topic. Interview, questionnaire and pre-test and post-test has been done to complete the proposed project. Based on the questionnaire prepared, most of the respondents gave positive feedback. The questionnaire is divided by four category, design, learning, user interface, and interactivity. Mean for design, learning, user interface, and interactivity over 5 are 5, 4.98, 4.97 and 4.98 while the standard deviation are 0, 0.141, 0.171 and 0.141. Post-test also shows positive outcome as the mean is higher 2.05 than pre-test result and standard deviation is lower by 0.22. Increased of mean in post-test shows that proposed application able to provide new knowledge for users. Standard deviation in post-test is the closest to the expected outcome which is 0.
