Abstract

This project is about a mobile application called as Biq. The purpose of developing this mobile application is provide a social platform for the cycling community. In the Sarawak, there is a cycling association which is recognized by Sarawak State Sports Council and its affiliations such as Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) called Sarawak Cycling Association. The current President of the association is Dato Benjamin Hasbie. Currently, the association does not have a specific platform for their registered members. Hence, any upcoming events organized by the association can’t be reached by the members instantly as there are no source of promotion of the events to the members and other cyclists. With this mobile application, the interaction among the members can be improved and the event engagements will be facilitated as the mobile application can connect every member with each other online anytime and anywhere around the globe. Aside from that, there are no loyalty rewards program for the active members of the association especially the members who are often participated in every event organized by the association. Hence, with the integration of the loyalty rewards program into the application, it can help to increase the event participation as every event participation will be rewarded with certain amount of points which will encourages the cyclists to stay active in joining the events. In the conclusion, the application plays a important role in connecting the cycling community in which it acted as a single platform for the cycling community for a better interaction and engagement and it makes the users to feel amazed and appreciated with the loyalty rewards program as every user can be rewarded based on their participation of the events. Thus, while having fun doing the cycling, the users also can meet new friends, learn new talents from each other and iii practice a healthy lifestyle.
