Abstract

Goats or Capra aegagrus hircus belongs to the small ruminant group of animals that are widely breed in Asia, mainly in India, Pakistan, and China. Due to their abundant nutrient content especially protein and lower cholesterol levels, goat meat is incorporated to be main source of protein in these developing countries. However, goat is a very sensitive and high maintenance animals. It require special and intensive care in order to grow healthy and reach their maximum weight. In this study, several methods such as conducting survey based on questionnaire will be used to determine the problems that been faced by farmers in their goat farm in terms of feeding requirements and maintenance. By the end of this research, the problem faced by farmers in Kuching- Samarahan division to breed goats can be solved, and effective way of farming goats can be introduced.
