Abstract

Zoology is a branch of biological education that is not well informed in our modem technological era. This causes lack of awareness in society to curb poor management of wildlife that can lead to extirpation. Non-sustainable consumption is one of the factor that contributes toward such scenario. To evaluate the important of zoological studies and state of wildlife consumptions among younger generation, total of 538 students from; SMK Sadong Jaya, SMK St. Mary, SMK St. Joseph, SM Sains Kuching and UNIMAS foundation were surveyed through questionnaire. Urban and sub-urban students in all level of education studied consumed wildlife such as wild boar, turtle's egg, snakes, and other exotic wildlife. This study showed that knowledge on zoology education is lacking and consumptions of wildlife are the same for both gender. Early educations should be introduced and authorities should play good roles in enforcing laws.
