Abstract

The study is about extraction and indentification of chemical compound from Solanum lasiocarpum fruits. Solanum lasiocarpum plant is an indigenous plant of Borneo Island. It comes from Solanacea family. Extraction conducted by using methanol solvent and the extracted samples show compound separation by using hexane: ethyl acetate with ratio of 9: 1 on TLC tests. Brine shrimps cytotoxicity test of the methanol crude extracted samples show LC50 at 213.7 ppm, compound mixture A at 79.74 ppm and compound mixture B at 68.60 ppm. The compound extract show mild to medium antioxidant activity but no observable anti-bacteria progress. GC-MS and NMR analysis show both compound came from the same basic group of chemical component.
