Abstract

This study was conducted to study the influence of teachers' work culture in an excellent school in the city of Kuching, Sarawak. Only 8 informants working as teachers were selected to be involved in this study. There are four objectives that are studied namely to study the work culture practiced by teachers in school, study the challenges of work culture faced by teachers in school, study strategies in further strengthening work culture in school and know the proposed improvement of work culture used by teachers in school. This study was conducted using qualitative methods and using case studies. Study data were collected through semi-structured interviews while data analysis was performed using content analysis. In this study there are some work cultures practiced in schools and there are some new research findings in this study. In addition, suggestions for improvement are also given by informants who help in further improving the effectiveness of an organization to continue to excel.
