Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between selected factors of spiritual leadership and organizational commitment. The independent variable which had been studied in this research is vision, altruistic love, membership, hope/faith and calling/meaning. A public organization is chosen for this present study. The research is conducted by using quantitative research methodology. The population is all the employees in selected organization which is Sibu Water Board and the sample size was chosen based on simple random sampling technique. Besides, questionnaires had been used to collect the related data in this study. The data that gathered from these respondents had been analyzed by using “Statistical Package for Social Science” (SPSS) version 21.0. Descriptive and inferential statistic was used to analyze data according to the categories. Descriptive statistic was used to analyze the respondents’ demographic background such as gender, age, races, marital status, highest level of education and work experience at Sibu Water Board. While, Pearson correlation analysis had been choose to analyze and identify the relationship between the independent and dependent variable. The findings of the study prove that there is significant relationship between vision, hope/faith, membership, calling/meaning and altruistic love with the organizational commitment. Finding of the research stated the membership as the most influence factor which able to affect the organizational commitment. Recommendation and suggestion had been made for the future reference for the organization, HR practitioners and also future researchers.
