Abstract

Debt financing data has growing rapidly in recent year. Debt financing is a popular ways to know how the company gain their capital to run their business. Besides that, more companies in Malaysia used debt financing to increase their rofitability. Annual report is the most common form to disclose debt financing in firm profitability. This study focuses on the debt financing in firm profitability of food and beverages industry that had listed in Bursa Malaysia. By applying trade-off theory and pecking order theory, this study predict there are significant relationship such debt financing towards firm profitability. This research would further applied the content analysis technique to collect debt financing data and analyse such relationship by descriptive analysis and regression analysis.
