Abstract

This study was carried out to document the water quality and nutrients content of manmade lake in new UNIMAS campus. Water samples were collected from 3 stations, at subsurface and bottom. The mean water quality parameters measured were Dissolve Oxygen (7.74 mg/L), TSS (4.10 mg/L), TDS (4.70) BOD5 (1.69 mg/L), COD (26.96 mg/L), nitrate nitrogen (0.05 mg/L), orthophosphate (0.05 mg/L), ammonia nitrogen (0.03 mg/L), pH (6.47), and temperature (29.98 °C). The water quality of UNIMAS man-made lake is considered clean.
