Abstract

Starch has been widely used as a raw material in films production due to its low cost and boidegradable properties. In this project, silver nanoparticles will be added to starch solution to form Nano composites films with anti-microbial properties.Parameters such as ratio of starch and silver nanoparticles used together with amount of cross-linkers were investigated and optimized to produce starch-silver Nanocomposites films with desirable physical and anti-microbial properties.FTIR,SEM,FEM and UV-Visible spectrophotometer were used to characterized morphology, particle size and changes in chemical composition of strach-silver nanocomposite films.
