Abstract

Malaysia was under the British sovereignty for almost 150 years, the influences and styles were almost entirely felt of being interfered with local culture that had a change over time in creating the graphic design. This research would seek the effectiveness of the cross cultural of Western influence on Malaysia movie poster and that the impact could affect responses of Malaysian society in the poster design. The effectiveness of Western impact could be seen of Malaysian society on their culture awareness of the movie poster. The exploitation of cross cultural of Western influence could bring thread through creating a very similar graphical visual content such as in the image, colour, typography and layout.
