Abstract

Due to the limitation of technology from remote area is the obstacle for the farmer to develop invention in production of lemantak (sago flour). This study initiated to conduct research on development process of drying lemantak for increase, keep the original quality and shorten time in drying. Mostly, the farmer preferred drying by heating of sunlight due to low cost but this method expose with the surrounding that make in drying lemantak is not clean and hygiene. This research work is focus on designing the new machine and increase efficiency the drying method. To accomplish developing the drying process, designing the new machine with automated in dry the lemantak into half-dry is needed. Before fabricating the new machine, the design should be robust and able to prove the concept in drying lemantak. To prove the concept and its efficiency, the scale model of machine should be fabricate to show the working model is accepted. The result based on the working model will show the mechanism can operate well and at once prove the concept of design.
