Abstract

A user friendly and automated sorting machine designed especially for lab researchers. The machine consists of three layer table which are Top Level Table, Second Level Rotating Table and Stationary Base table and has an image processing part that is functioning to shoot the picture of the Petri Dish and able to help the researchers to determine the amount of Colony Forming Units (CFUs) inside a bacteria accurately within a short period of time. The machine is able to sort Petri Dish automatically onto the second level rotating table and then rotates it again to the image processing machine to be counted and finally rotates to the bin plate part to be lifted up to the Bin Plate. The machine has a gripper to control the amount of petri dishes drop onto the second level with the help of gravity. After two seconds of rotation it will stop and be counted by Colony Forming Units (CFUs) Counting Machine before the petri dish is left up again at the Bin Plate.
