With the specialty of high return but low price had attracted the investor interested with IPO. The initial idea of this study is to investigate the factors that affecting the initial return of Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Malaysia which issued within the period year 2006 until 2010. Data collected from data stream and for each variable data will be choose only on the year of the IPO issued on the particular company. This research is using correlation matrix and OLS regression to run the test. The finding showed that log offered size, log age and log total asset will affect the initial return of IPO. However, ROE and debt ration doesn’t affect the initial return of IPO. Overall, this result provides the evidence for the potential investor to identify the factors from the IPO’s firms that will affect the initial return of the IPO.
