Abstract

Lace has a unique and long history and it started in the days of Napoleon. It is very popular in Europe and is considered as material of high value and worth as batik in Malaysia. In addition, they also have special museum showcasing the history and various types of lace. Therefore, we began to pay attention to the lace as a work of art almost batik. Through this study, it was found that the production of lace requires relatively high costs and the resulting high price in the local market. Therefore, this study aimed to explore rubber paste prints techniques which design will resembles lace designs in women's and children fashion collection. It is intended to give alternative and preference to materials selection which expensive to compare with original lace material local market. The final product consists of lace “trimmings” selection that was produced from embosses printing techniques which than applied in affordable women’s and children fashion collection.
