Abstract
This research is a study on the preservation of Taiping as a town of heritage and tourism in the state of Perak. The influence of development, current economic and technological improvement giving lot of challenges on how Taiping can be maintained as a heritage town. Through the development planning which is contain of preservation values, it will be able to protect the heritage resources from any destruction and the importance of heritage preservation is expected to be able to generate the growth of local tourism sector.
