Abstract

Gamelan dance is one of the palaces of art. This dance very well preserved by the court long time ago and being entertainment for the aristocracy. This dance originated from Jawa. The development has opened up opportunities for the public to know this art. However, this Gamelan dance is rarely performed even among the people. To maintain and preserved this dance is certainly faced with many problems. This research examines the factors to change the dance of 'Joget Gamelan Terengganu' as well as examine the challengers and constraints faced by the SUKTRA influence the effectiveness of the conservation heritage of very unique performing arts.
