Abstract

This research to study The effective of Sarawak craft council (MKS) to promote lbans community of weave 's art i/1 engaging the youth group. The aim of the research is to know the strategy of promotion management and the importance of other generation by youth allowed the effective method so that weave art inheritance could be protected and recovered This research problem is less participation of the youth due to lack of disclosure about the important of weaving art Iban society. Through the data obtained, a promotion conducted by the MKS effective in attracting young people to attend organised craft activities. As, evidence, the MKS had held a variety of craft-related programs for the response and encourage youth participation in the craft seminars, Handicraft Week, Handicraft Home Training Programmed (HHTP) and courses.
