Abstract
The broad objective of Ihis research is to e>lplore the effectiveness of resettlement ~heme programs on affected communities. While the specific aim of this research is 10 explore the effectiveness of a resettlement program, that is, Rampangi resettlement scheme. Questionnaire, interviews and observation were used to gather primary information. Sixty household heads were selected by using simple random sampling; and data analysis was assisted by SPSS while GIS was used to produce specific map layers. Although there were areas that yet to be improved overall. 1he study found that Rampangi settlers were contented with their living condition.
