Abstract
Two ligands have been formed by condensation reaction of 2-acetylpyrid ine with benzophenonehydrazone and phenylhydrazine in 1.1 molar ratio. Organotin(lV) complexes of2acetylpyridinebenzophenoneazine and 2-acetylpyrid inephenylhydrazone have been synthesized where the ligands are acted as bidentate N,N chelating agent. The characterization of the ligands (1-2) and their organotin(lV) complexes has been made on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductances, UV-visible and FTlR spectral studies. On the basis of analytical and spectral data, octahedral (coordination number six) structures have been proposed.
